SOME EXAMPLES TO SHOW HOW TRIP COSTS ARE CALCULATED
Unlike the Open and Open Plus plans, where you can simply refer to the rates chart to see the cost of a trip our Value plans allow you to benefit from more than one set of rate options. The lowest rate will automatically apply to your trip.
Check out some examples below to see how the costs are calculated for trips of different lengths and distances.
Basic rules
If you are on a Value plan and you use a Round-trip vehicle, in addition to the basic rates of your plan you also have access to:
- the Long Distance rate;
- rates available on the Open Plus plan which are more advantageous for a quick round-trip (trips where you drive a long distance in a short time).
Members on the Value Extra plan can also benefit from having a trip charged at the Workday rate.

SOME EXAMPLES WITH THE VALUE EXTRA PLAN TO SHOW HOW YOUR FLEX TRIPS ARE CALCULATED
Any trip you take with a FLEX vehicle will be automatically billed at the lowest cost between the FLEX rate and the Round-trip rates for your plan.
This comparison is made regardless of the length of your trip.
However, a minimum of 4 hours will be charged if Round-trip rates are applied.
Comparison for a short FLEX trip
